Coventry and Warwickshire Mind delivers services to looked-after children, their parents/carers and professionals.

We provide services directly to:

  • Children and young people in residential or foster-care
  • Adopted children and young people
  • Foster carers
  • Adopters
  • Professionals working with looked-after children 

What we offer...

For children:

We aim to build our support around what children and young people feel they need, but the type of support we can provide includes:

  • A safe space to share your thoughts and feelings
  • Help you to understand how you feel
  • Practical support to better manage your emotions or behaviours
  • Information
  • Help you to identify what you want and need to improve your emotional health
  • Someone to help you have your voice heard

We can offer this support in different ways - this can include

  • Creative play and activities
  • Counselling
  • Telephone/text/e-mail support

We provide these services across Coventry and Warwickshire in venues to suit the needs of individuals. Our staff team includes Counsellors, Primary Mental Health Workers (PMHWs), Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.

For carers:

  • Advice, support and training around behaviour, attachment and mental health and wellbeing
  • 1:1 support around practical strategies

For professionals:

  • Advice and support about behaviour, attachment and mental health and wellbeing
  • Training around mental health, wellbeing and attachment
