Dress down for stress The summer holidays are well and truly behind us and the kids have returned to school. As the festive season rapidly approaches, stress will become an issue which many of us will sadly experience. So why have we chosen 'stress' as the theme of this season? Stress can affect all of us and can have a detrimental effect on our wellbeing, impacting on both the mind and body. Of course, we cannot not avoid stress from all parts of our life and in some cases, a little bit of stress can be positive. However, for others, the impact can be devastating. We know that certain things can significantly reduce the symptoms of stress and stress itself can be avoided by taking some simple steps. Changes to diet, exercise and sleeping patterns can have huge benefits, even ventilating how you feel could help lighten the load, but for some, professional support is what is needed to gain back control. Join us on our latest campaign and help raise money for local people so that they can access self-help courses such as anxiety management and relaxation across Coventry and Warwickshire. 2nd November is "Stress Awareness Day", let's say no to stress and start now!
