In 2012 each E-News will feature a Wellbeing tip from our Body & Mind team, this month’s tip is:
Stay Hydrated! What we choose to eat and drink affects both our physical and our mental health, and will in turn affect your professional performance.
The body is composed largely of water and requires fluid to perform a variety of functions optimally. Dehydration will affect your body and your mind’s physical and mental performance. It is important to be able to recognise when you may be dehydrated so you can rectify this before experiencing any serious symptoms, however if symptoms persist or you feel it may be something underlying consult your G.P for advice.
Each individual’s fluid requirements do vary slightly but 6 – 8 glasses of fluid is the rule of thumb for the general population to aim for.
So raise a glass, to better hydration and feeling great.
